Jeff Walker is a songwriter based in Toronto, Canada. During the late 90's Jeff played guitar in local blues/rock band Midnite Stone. The band started primarily doing cover tunes but gradually shifted most of its repetoire toward original songs. It was during this time that Jeff found his true calling which was writing songs.
Jeff is a big believer in the John Lennon philosophy when it comes to writing songs: Keep it simple, make it rhyme, say what you got to say, and get the hell out ...all in 4 minutes or less. Influences include The Beatles, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Kurt Cobain, Steve Earle and numerous Canadian bands including Blue Rodeo and Goddo, and The Dice.
Jeff owes an endless debt of gratitude to his musical friends for bringing his music to life. These include: Juno Award winning engineer and producer Norm Barker, musicians Paul Walker, Jason Kemp, Vin Vida, Brian Allossery, Tim Lambert, Victor Parks, Dan Cox, Rui Cimbron, Jim Chesworth and Kevin Jagger. Also very special thanks to Jain McMillan for all her time and effort in putting together the cd packages.
